When Time Comes - Chapter 10

“Wow u are earlier then me … I am so impress…. “ Kate told me … consider the fact that she just call me less then 2 hours ago to arrange for this meeting

“Darren will be joining us and he is bringing a friend….Say what his friend is heart broken and needed company and its Friday and he call me to ask if I am going out … so I told him just meeting a gal friend for drinks and chat… and he say want to join us…..”

“Oh I see… or is he interested in you and wanted to spend time with you.”

“Are you mad ?? How I know …. And anyway he is just a normal drinking friend….”

We made our way to our usual bar and was trying to look for a seat when I spotted our favourite place at the back… so I made my way to it and after ordering out drinks… we settle down to the usual topics… on how is life… what have you been up to?? What is new nowadays…. Have you seen so and so … and we just laugh at some old time jokes and also new jokes….

“Over here….” Kate suddenly shouted… she was waving to someone behide me ….I guess it must be Darren his friend…..

Turning my head to see who it was and GOSH !!!! Darren’s friend is HIM.. the infamous him …. I could not believe my eyes…. Guesss fate plays a part…

The usual introduction was going around and I am total lost for words with him sitting just beside him ….. I finally know his name….. Mike

Mike and I sat there for almost 30 mins without saying a single word… and just hear Kate and Darren talking and talking ….

The look was still on his face… now I know what the look was… he is down and out because of love. I want to know what happened… but then we just know each other today and it does not seems nice to be so busybody…..

I could see him sitting there quietly slipping his glass of beer and lost in his own land … his thoughts seems to be so far far away… I am sure it with her and not with us ……
